Turn a race, ride or hike into a print

A route map poster traces the whole course as a single line over a quiet basemap. Choose one of the World Marathon Majors already loaded, or upload the GPX file your watch produced and we will draw exactly what you ran.

Underneath the route sits an elevation profile of the course, and a row of details you control: your name, bib number, distance, finish time, and the coordinates of the start and finish lines. Clear any of them and the remaining columns rebalance across the width.

What people print

Any recorded route works. These are the most common.

  • A first marathon, with the finish time on it
  • Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago, New York or Tokyo
  • A half marathon or first 10K
  • A long-distance bike ride or gran fondo
  • A multi-day hike or thru-hike section
  • A road trip route across a country
  • An ultramarathon or trail race
  • A training route run hundreds of times

Common questions about route map posters

What file do I need from my watch?

A GPX file. Garmin, Coros, Strava, Apple Watch and Suunto all export one in a couple of clicks. If your device gives you a FIT file, export the activity as GPX instead and upload that.

Which marathon courses are already included?

Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago, New York City and Tokyo are preloaded, so you can make a poster without uploading anything. Any other race can be printed from your own GPX.

Can I leave off my finish time or bib number?

Yes. Clear any field and that column comes off the poster, and the ones that remain spread evenly across the width. A route with no stats at all is a valid design.

Does it work for a bike ride or a hike?

Yes. Anything recorded as a GPX track works the same way, including rides, hikes, walks and road trips. The column headings are editable, so "Athlete" can become whatever suits the activity.

How accurate is the route on the poster?

The line follows the track you upload. Course files for the included marathons come from a third-party source and are accurate to within a few hundred metres, which is not visible at poster scale.
