iWhat is a GPX file, and how do I get mine?
A GPX file is the GPS track of one activity: the points you passed through, usually with elevation and time. Almost every running watch and fitness app can export one.
- Strava: open the activity on strava.com, click the three-dot menu, then Export GPX.
- Garmin Connect: open the activity, click the gear icon, then Export to GPX.
- COROS: open the activity in Training Hub and export it as GPX.
- Polar Flow, Komoot, Ride with GPS: each has an export or download GPX option on the activity or route.
- Apple Watch: the Fitness app cannot export GPX, but apps such as HealthFit or RunGap can.
TCX files work too. FIT files do not yet, so export GPX instead.
